NOTE: Solid mercury is in a stable solid state at normal temperature, so when not powered on, gently shake or tilt the bulb, you will hear a slight noise(the bulb rattles), and feel something moving inside the bulb, this is normal. It does not affect the use of the bulb. If the bulb makes a slight rattling noise, and doesn’t flicker after lighting, the bulb can be used normally. If makes a loud noise, and the light flickers, the bulb may be broken.
