2. Natural – This is a natural product form Northern America, and it gives a natural habitat for your aquarium pets. Variation between leaves and botanicals is expected. There will be single cones, and cones still attached to the twigs inside the bag.
3. How many to add in the Aquarium – We recommend starting with 1-3 alder cones per 5 GALLONS of water. This is because they are ENERGY, which allows the growth of other beneficial aquarium flora. Shrimp keepers pay special attention to this, as the oxygen levels of the aquarium can be impacted from using too many alder cone or Catappa leaves (if you are adding) as flora colonies will flourish.
4. Preparation – 1. Rinse botanicals under tap water for few minutes. 2. Boil the cones for 5 minutes in fresh tap water. 3. Drain and strain the cones, you can use the water for plants. 4. Soak the alder cones in fresh water until water logged and it sinks. This water is safe for use in the aquarium, along with the cones.
5. Creates hiding places: They are hiding place for shrimplets, hence relaxing them. Helps to reduce stress of baby shrimps. They look Fantastic in Any Tank — The aquarium gains a natural beauty from our alder cones. Like the cones that evergreen trees produce, the alder cones.
6. Alder Cone As Stress Reliever for Shrimp – When our cones are submerged in water, the color of the aquarium water changes. As a result, your freshwater crustaceans eat the cones and the tea-water or tinted water aids in shedding. A variety of factors, including oxygen levels, water hardness, and presence of trace elements, affect an aquarium's pH level. Utilize our usefulness to bring the pH down.
